The American Solar Challenge is a biennial cross-country solar car competition held in the United States. Unlike at the World Solar Challenge, the route for American Solar Challenge changes at every event. This means that every event provides new challenges .
The 2018 challenge is mountains. This year's route (seen on the poster to right) is the first to involve major elevation changes. Teams will have to budget their power especially well to ensure they can make it to the top.

We will be bringing Argo to ASC 2018. This will be Argo's first competitive event (WSC 2017 was adventure class). At ASC we will face a combination of brand new cars, cars built for WSC 2017 (like Argo), and older cars. Currently there are 18
challenger class vehicles registered for the event.
Seventeen of our team members will be taking part in the 2 week event. Continue on to meet these team members!

"What's cool about the team is the involvement of so many different sides of engineering"
“I like that we get to do all kinds of hands on work, for example the carbon-fiber layups are something I never expected to do in electrical engineering!”
"I've got to work on so many real-world aspects of engineering projects you don't see in classes and have gained experience working on large project teams”
