Karl is a senior in Electrical Engineering. He joined the Illini Solar Car electrical team in 2016 and likes how the experience has supported his education at UIUC by allowing him to see classroom knowledge applied in the real world. Karl has worked on Argo’s power distribution system that controls the energy harnessed from the sun through the solar cells, obviously a very important aspect of any solar vehicle! This summer he will be going to the Formula Sun Grand Prix event prior to the American Solar Challenge to optimize Argo's performance.
